Eagles’ Wings, Inc. is in the process of developing a pilot program as a first step in realizing our overall dream of building a work center and residential community for adults with developmental disabilities.  Although plans are currently being drawn for the vocational building, we feel it necessary to start an initial day-habilitation/work program in order to provide much needed services while we patiently wait for construction to begin on our property in Coker, Alabama.  In addition, this initial program will enable our organization to become eligible for more substantial grant funding once we have been in operation for a year.  The new office space in Northport is perfect for this endeavor.  During the next few months we will be doing renovations to our work area, which will include the addition of one ADA compliant restroom and a shower.  We will also be painting the floor and putting up drywall to create a safe, clean, attractive and functional work space for our clients.   Our target date to begin the pilot program is August 2008.
