Regardless of what activities you have planned, how busy you are, or what path your life generally takes from day-to-day, if you’re an American, you can’t help but be aware of the date today, or more specifically, what this date means in the history of our country. As we all seem to remember “where we were” on September 11, 2001, our EWI individuals also remember. This morning everyone took a trip to Veterans Memorial Park in Tuscaloosa, which served as the perfect backdrop for a time of reflection, discussion, and even pride as we gazed upon our country’s flag. We took time at the memorial, reading each name etched in stone, reflecting on each battle represented, and giving our appreciation for those whose names don’t appear, but who daily give of themselves in service to our country. Today, not only do we “remember”, but we will never forget.
