Mission Statement

The Need
We became concerned about the services available to improve and progress the quality of life for our adult children when we can no longer provide care in our home.
As educators…
We became concerned about the limited options available to our students once they leave the school system.
As a community…
We became concerned about the ways we can contribute to the emotional, financial, social, spiritual, residential, and vocational needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. As such, Eagles’ Wings of Tuscaloosa was born to address each of these needs and fulfill our dream.

The Dream
We dreamed of a family-style campus where our adult children will be cared for by professionally trained, dedicated caregivers and of a place where our adult children’s emotional, physical, social, spiritual, and vocational needs will be met.
As educators…
We dreamed of vocational opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities to gain independence and work ethics through meaningful employment, and of a workplace where each adult may be productive, no matter their level of ability.
As a community…
We dreamed of the privilege to serve individuals with developmental disabilities and their families and of the opportunity to contribute financially, emotionally, and spiritually to the well-being of each individual.
